All 579 households received their donations!
The donation was able to provide 579 households with 4.5 kg of rice to the following Barangays: BanBan, Bonkokan Ilaya, Bonkokan Ubos, and Jambawan
We had an additional PHP 2,000.00 to include with the unnamed family’s donation to purchase 30 trays of eggs to donate to the people in the more rural parts of Jambawan: Purok 3 (Cambijan) and Purok 4 (Pugahan). Cambigan had a # of 70 houses and Pugahan had 40 houses. Therefore, 15 eggs (1/2 a tray) were given to each household.
Due to the pandemic, we were unable to personally deliver the donations to each household. The LGU implemented stations at the entrance of every barangay where the Barangay Capitan and the Officials work to regulate procedures. The donations were given to them as they will be the ones to deliver it.
We would like to thank Hon. Godofredo Laganson Piollo, Jolly and Lorette for their efforts in managing and delivering the donations.
The Lilac Foundation would like to honourably mention Hon. Godofredo Laganson Piollo. As the contributed donation could only provide for 577 households, Godofredo took the liberty to personally purchase the remaining rice to provide for ALL 579 households, he has also contributed in purchasing the remaining amount of eggs in order for Purok 3 and Purok 4 of Barangay Jambawan to receive equal amount of eggs.
With the efforts of these individuals, we were able to pursue our mission “to enrich the lives of those we embody”. We thank them for their work and we hope you all continue to stay safe.
Together we can get through this!
The Lilac Foundation has donated PHP 54,000 and another PHP 65,000 was donated by the unnamed family. The total donation is PHP 119,000.
With the monetary donation, we were able to purchase 52 sacs of rice (PHP 2,200/sac); the total cost being PHP 114,000. PHP 2,000 will be used on gas for the deliveries. PHP 350.00 will be the payment for each person hired for labour (Payment may increase; will be further updated*)
The donations will be delivered tomorrow. With that being said, keep an eye out for further updates. Stay safe everyone!
As The Lilac Foundation takes pride in operational transparency, here are the complete details of our donation to the Lila community:
After consulting with Attorney Mayor Arturo “Jed” Piollo II, the donation will be distributed between the following Barangays: BanBan, Bonkokan Ilaya, Bonkokan Ubos, and Hambawan.
The Barangay’s were recommended and selected based on their lack of current available financial resources. Of the PHP 54,100.00 donation, roughly PHP 48,400.00 will be used to purchase 990kg of rice (22 sacs). The remaining will be used towards purchasing food bags (PHP 600.00), gas and payment for labour.
The Lilac Foundation is thankful to have had their donation matched by unnamed family making the total donation size that exceeds PHP 100,000. The rice will be purchased from a reputable merchant recommended by the Attorney Mayor and will be picked up by Hon. Godofredo Laganson Piollo on April 17th, 2020. In all, approximately 579 households will be positively impacted by the donation. Distribution will begin as soon as possible and will be managed by Hon. Godofredo Laganson Piollo and Shannon Piollo.
As times are unpredictable, we request that we all take the necessary precautions to stop the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). We will all get through this together. Thank you and stay safe.
