August 30th marks our first year as The Lilac Foundation!

We would like to thank everyone for their continuous support throughout the year. It has definitely been an eye-opener for us, as it is our first time running a non-profit organization. We have endured a lot of trial and error for our first year which was expected; we are learning from these experiences and are using them to help us grow as a team as well as an organization.

Through our first year:

1. We were able to utilize social media as a tool to promote who we are and what our mission is. Through the power of social media we were able to promote our cause throughout the whole world and have gather international support.
2. We have released our official website: Due to concerns about our Facebook posts being relatively long, in order to give the public an option to further look into our projects and what we are doing we created a platform that will provide more in-depth information/blogs.
3. The efforts and donations accumulated at the end of 2018, we were able to start 2019 with 6 completed church pews for the parish provided from our LILAC Bench Project.

I would like to personally thank the officers behind The Lilac Foundation. We are all working students and despite our schedules, we are still motivated to make a change. As many people have doubted our intentions in the beginning of our journey, we were able push against the odds and make a difference.

Although it’s been a year, we are continuously trying to improve ourselves and finding more efficient ways to better embark on our mission.
